Privacy Policy.

Short version: we collect what we need to get chicken to your door, we never see your card details, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we are

MAINCHICK is a ready-to-eat chicken brand based in Chennai, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or place an order, why we collect it, and what choices you have.

In this policy, “we” and “us” mean MAINCHICK. “You” means anyone visiting the site or ordering from us.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to take an order and deliver it.

  • Order details — your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, plus what you ordered.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by our payment gateway. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials.
  • Messages you send us — if you contact us by WhatsApp or the contact form, we keep that conversation so we can help you.
  • Basic technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically by our host and caching software to keep the site working and secure.

We do not ask for, and do not want, any sensitive personal data beyond the above.

How we use it

Your information is used to:

  • process, pack and deliver your order;
  • send you order confirmations and delivery updates;
  • answer your questions and handle any problem with an order;
  • meet our legal and tax obligations; and
  • keep the site secure and prevent fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. When you pay, you are handed to Razorpay’s secure checkout and your card, UPI or netbanking details are submitted directly to them — they never pass through our website, and we never store them.

We receive only the outcome of the payment (whether it succeeded, the amount, and a reference number) so we can confirm your order. Razorpay handles that data under its own privacy policy and the applicable RBI rules.

Who else sees your information

We share the minimum necessary with:

  • Delivery partners — your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver your order.
  • Razorpay — to take payment, as described above.
  • Our hosting provider — the site and its database are hosted on Hostinger’s infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid order from a court or authority.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary — they remember what is in your cart and keep your session working through checkout; without them you could not place an order. Others are set by our caching software to serve pages faster.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block the necessary ones the cart and checkout will not work.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them to support you and to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements. Messages you send us are kept while they are useful for supporting you. Technical logs are short-lived and are rotated by our host.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong; or
  • delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.

Message us on WhatsApp and we will help. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your details to someone else.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, payment details never touch our servers, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to run the business. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes will be made clear rather than slipped in quietly.
